The founding partner, Michael (“Mike”) Kennedy, had first-hand knowledge in areas critical to our clients’ needs, success and understanding when he founded the firm in 1999. Mike successfully founded, owned, and operated a prosperous business, worked for both the Internal Revenue Service and the Minnesota Department of Revenue, and gained a decade of valuable experience with a public accounting firm.

Attorney Scott A. Ruhsam practiced in estate planning and civil litigation. Scott also worked in government relations for a non-profit organization and served as in-house counsel for a midsize closely held business before joining the firm in 2013. In 2020, Scott joined Mike as a Partner of Kennedy & Ruhsam Law Offices, P.A.

Both Mike and Scott lead the team by offering attentive, efficient, and insightful legal representation.
