Industrial Networks (INet) is the leading provider of railyard automation and data acquisition systems for manufacturing and shipping operations in North America. Our expertise touches operations run by rail shippers, short line and Class I railroads, trucking, marine freight, and more. Beginning in the early 90's, the Class I railroads adopted a form of passive Radio-Frequency Identification, Automated Equipment Identification (AEI), as their form of tracking railcars.
Through the use of mobile devices and stationary readers, INet can find a solution for automating the collection of data in any industrial environment. INet's ability to integrate with many of the industry's largest third-party logistics providers, as well as most in-house plant management systems, makes utilizing INet's solution quick and easy for most shippers.
INet also has a very close relationship with the railroads themselves. Our stationary reader solutions can be configured to meet all AAR's specific requirements for a stationary AEI reader system. A scaled-down reader system can also be deployed at any short line railroad that may need a simpler, more cost-effective solution. We are the preferred provider for AEI tags for several railroads and are also active in the AAR's AEI committee.
To help improve our customers' operations in a quick and efficient manner, INet provides various specialized services.
