I got my start on the web in 2010, working on a blog project about visiting 50 different Chattanooga churches. The blog site, ChurchSurfer, is still available for the world to see in the original WordPress blog format with no fancy designs or graphics. Three years later, the ChurchSurfer blog is still getting hundreds of new visitors each month!
After the ChurchSurfer blog project concluded at the end of 2011, I decided to learn web design and graphic design because I believed I could help churches and nonprofit organizations in Chattanooga with their online marketing (I got tired of asking others to help me do it). I thought it would be an excellent way for me to get involved and serve the community in an area that I felt was neglected. I spent much of my spare time from 2012-15 working with various churches, nonprofits, and ministries on website projects, which helped develop my skills with real-world projects while supporting some great organizations.
